The first day of the Filipino Missionaries Gathering was held at Jhu Chi in Chaiyi County... we walked in the national park somewhere there and enjoyed the nature and each other's company... and later that evening we had a sumptous dinner and a fantastic party....

The Filipino Missionaries in Taiwan gathered in Mei Shan at Our Lady of China Church. We had our morning prayers here and we listened to a talk about the missionary journey to Taiwan 150 year before given by Fr. Jarvis Sy OP.

finally this word appears in my life. i never thought it would yet i brush it aside telling myself i could handle this yet... my life seems to be turning upside down. what is wrong???
everything is short lived. we live for moments that last longer only in our minds than what actually exists. yes, i am finding indelible glitches and inconsistences in my good intentions and my deeds.....
i feel a sense of "lostness". I know I am lucky enough to be somewhere but still I want to be somewhere else. the pressures have been there for as long as I can remember. i want to escape from them all so i end up opening accounts in Multiply, Friendster, Facebook and self blogs... toys to play with. I want it everything but i really have no idea what i really want, funny huh?
Everything change so fast, i can't seem to get into the rhythm but we have to change along with it.
Now I am growing out of proportions: my clothes tearing as I expand, wrinkles appearing and white hairs showing. I become so volatile... again... where am I? I am thinking it the end but I end up starting anew..

Mock exams

today is mock exams for the junior three students and that means that i don't have any classes with them.. so this gives me the time to tinker in this computer and go blogging.
yesterday the student body had their MTV activity and all of us foreign teachers here sang in this event. it was terrifying but well, we shared and entertained the students. oh well!! it is one of those days that we are on stage and do some unlikely stuff as teachers....
tomorrow i will have lunch out with my adults students. it is our last meeting for this semester and following tradition, the students invite the teacher for a nice treat.... but you see sometimes i really feel unworthy about this because not all of them really attends the class but they come to this thing.... it is SUCH!!!!

Last November 17 i danced with my students during an assembly. that assembly was an opening to advent season. I danced in tune of "Shine Jesus Shine" The thing there is that it was an interpretative dance, but you see i wore the students' school uniform and that makes it ewwww!!!!

a lot of things happened last month. but i did not record them through writings. but they were recorded through pictures....

a thing that i need to write was when my father was hospitalized last month. i was really devastated. i felt so helpless. but God's love was strong and constant.

Usually exam week is a lazy week for me. I don't need to go to school. But staying home is not at all good. I have cleaned my room, sent emails to my friends whom i have not written for a long time and updated my blog. wow, is this great? actually i feel better working.... what do you think?

three weeks ago my dear papa was hospitalized. i felt so helpless because i'm far away from the family. restlessness, anxiety lead to easy irratation and boring companion.
Yes, God assured me and that is all that i have. prayers work. HE was present.
Now papa is back to our home and taking care of himself. The family is there and continues to be there for papa.

at this very moment i am just surfing the net 'cause i have this hour break and no one seems to be around the faculty room. so here i am writing this blog.
i have been planning to write an entry for sometime now but just couldn't bring myself to this blog. a lot of things has happen for these past weeks and it full of wonderful memories. i did write some in my other blogs. but as you can see, i seldome use this blog site. but i prefer this site.

anyway, two weeks ago i had a great time in taitung, south easter part of taiwan. i will post the photos in my next blog. i was invited by the students of Senior 2 A. i was so happy that i went with them. it was fantastic.

then the youth group in the church is going pretty well. i hope i can inspire more souls to be closer to God.

my sunday afternoon group in the Immaculate Conception Parish is doing well. they are becoming more mature in their faith. the thing is i don't have enough time with them, perhaps i should dedicate more time with them.

well got to end here, the bell just rang, i have to coach somebody for her speech.... glad to drop by.....

just when i thought the storm had left, a big wave hit my life again.
life is beautiful, God made it so...
i was contemplating on the wonders that happened to me this week. i felt blessed and protected. then suddenly after all complacencies that brought me to the heights, then i have to slide down back to reality...
furthermore, my faith is solid but great temptations pop up and shake me up.....

we had a weekend meetings in taipei coinciding with the moon festival unfortunately a typhoon came and the weekend was moonless and sunless.

whew! i pampered myself last saturday, i ate ice-cream, chocolates and drank Kirin. most of all i had my hair done. Sunday is my "bestest" day of the week. I share my time with my friends and it makes me feel "great". I serve in the church and spend time with "younger people". Life is full of blessings and i am just grateful that i received all these blessings all the time. I believe that i have recieved so much therefore i have to give more.

I thank God that I have this day, for Him, and encounter Him in the people that i meet this day....

i felt dizzy when i saw my class schedule.... anyway, i saw my students and was glad to know that they are still willing to listen to me (hihihi)

i promised to update my blog this semester but after i write journal i feel lazy to open my blogs, but now since i am waiting for my father to go online, i might as well write a few lines.

i had a good week in schoool. friday schedule is quite light, i can have alot of time to use the computer in school.

by the way, last sunday, while i was walking to church, i met a girl who was wearing a dress and shoes and carrying a bag printed like a cow,, i remembered Anya's story, maybe it is the same girl...moooo, moooo

then later in the afternoon, agen and i went to eat typical taiwanese dish to end our summer break....

And i firmly believe that God wants me to be happy and I am.... but i have to work... work is part of life and i have got to do it... so what am I complaining about... perhaps a real vacation could stop this... what dya think??

well, it has been a year ago since i last entered. sorry, there were other stuff that preoccuppied me.

well, its beginning to look a lot like christmas. and it is the busiest month of the year for me. preparation, cleaning, shopping, remembering friends, writing cards, oh, buying cards first, and a lot more.

Christ is waiting is knocking in our hearts once again. let us open it for everyone, especially the needy and the lonely. share your time and share all the graces the you have received from God.

you know, sometimes, i feel like, you know, wanting to leave and go away, that is a very strong temptation, but i pray, i pray for guidance.

i know that i have loved, and i am loving with all my being. i pray that in one way or another, i have touched people's lives, in a simple way, in all i do.

i have missed writing here. actually my reflections are all written in the old fashion way in my journal. then i realized i have a blog why not write there. wow it is almost a month since i last open this.
the year is coming to a close - it's crazy, time goes quickly.

i an so delighted to have talked with my family back home. they celebrated thanksgiving. almost all my cousins were present and my father is simply happy that everything turned out well. except that my brother and his family were not able to attend.

i have just finished my talk about peace. finally am at peace. the preparation was thorough but presentation was not the way i expected. anyway it turned out well. simply i got my message sent.

i feel very happy tonight. we just finished our HOLY MASS in the house and the small circle of friends came as usual. today was smooth and i am delighted. wo! the week is almost over. this has been a pretty busy week where i don't get a chance to rest. all my free time in school is occupied by listening and talking to students who wish to improve. i want to be of help. i am that kind of person who likes to be available even if i feel weak to hear what they seem to talk about. NOT COMPLAINING. i am simply stating what i feel about it.

right now i am cracking my head to create a way to make my class more interesting and less dragging. it seems a drag for me to motivate my students to be more active. HELP.
